Local Resources

The Victim Center provides free of charge services, including adult and child counseling and a 24-hour crisis and intervention hotline, victim advocacy, and prevention education.

The Greene County Family Justice Center offers a wide range of services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, human trafficking, and child abuse.  No appointment is required, and all services are free and confidential. Services include: Crisis intervention, Safety planning, Assistance in filing an emergency order of protection (ex parte), Assistance in accessing emergency shelter, Basic legal information, Civil legal representation including divorce, child custody, and orders of protection, Assistance in filing a police report related to domestic or sexual violence, Crisis counseling, Prosecution services, Assistance with community resources, including housing, Medicaid, food stamps, etc., Child protection services, and Assistance with child support orders and enforcement.

Legal Services of Southern Missouri provides legal representation to the low-income and elderly in civil matters, including orders of protection, family law cases, public benefits, consumer law, and housing.

Harmony House provides shelter services, outreach and case management services.

Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is a centralized domestic and sexual violence clearinghouse for information and resources in Missouri.
